Agreement Joinder
Also Known As: "Unit Joinder"
A document approved/accepted by the authorized officer whereby the holder of interest in an lease agrees to the terms of the unit agreement, and normally in the case of the holder of the record title or operating rights, (commonly called the working interest owners), the terms of the applicable unit operating agreement. Joinders are normally filed by the unit operator in the process of approval by the authorized officer of the unit agreement and are accepted concurrently with the effective date of the unit agreement, but it is effective on the date of filing for Federal leases in the last month of a lease's term for the purpose of lease extension such as diligent drilling and production.
