Eastern States Coal Leases Overview
Bureau of Land Management Eastern States oversees 85 coal leases under the Eastern States State Office. Of the lease records managed by the Eastern States, 2.35% are authorized, 3.52% are pending, and 92.94% are closed. Oversite of these federal lands is divided into BLM Field Offices—Jackson Field Office and Milwaukee Field Office.
